So I just bought myself an 06 Si and I'm having a little bit of nostalgia. I've been driving a beater for 3 years (Olds Alero V6) and I couldn't be happier to be back in a fun and fast little Civic. The EP3 will also have a special place in my heart. The Mini-mini Van. The Rocket Ship. That's what my buddies used to call it. Now they call my new one a Saturn, heh.

This was an 02 Si I bought off eBay. I didn't even test drive it! That's how awesome and reliable most Civics are. It was fast (for an A3) and the most I ever did to it was the usual I/RH/E/HS, but learned a lot about cars during the process.


This one is bone stock with 80K miles. Didn't think that was too bad for an 06. I plan to go with an intake and Hondata's IMG + FlashPro. So let me first say this, damn that stereo is NICE for stock! The feeling of V-TEC kicking in is so addictive. I'm pretty sure the K20A3 didn't have that kind of kick. It's going to get me some tickets because I can't stop driving and revving it!

 

I tried for about a year to buy one of those, but every single person and dealer selling one was completely full of crap on the price. In my area a 2002 can go for almost 10 grand... After awhile I said "screw it" and bought an 06 Si for 13k. I'm glad I took the plunge, my new Si is the greatest car I've ever driven.

I'm not a fan of the stock stereo though. Too much bass and not enough settings for the EQ, I can't get a good sound for the metal I listen to. Oh well.

 

Oh that is true.. Chevelle doesn't sound as good as a song like J Cole - Work Out in that car, lol. As for the EP3, you are right about the high prices. And the cheap ones are completely ragged out.

 

Best deal I could find was a haggard 2003 with a knocking engine for 6k. I'm glad I went with my 2006.
