Buying integra parts from canada cheaper?
do u guys think it would be cheaper to buy parts from canada, since the american dollar is worth alot more there, you can go to a bank, like on the east coast (FLEET BANK) and buy foreign currency and buy parts from canada, good idea?
If you can avoid the duties, it might be worth it on certain things. But it depends. If the items were local to the US, you would probably not save.
One way to avaid duties is to ship USPS (not UPS or FedEx) and have them sent as a Gift.
But, as much as your money is worth, I still save buying stuff from the US and having it shipped. So stuff is just so expensive to have shipped and then our taxes kill us. 15% sales tax! And they want to raise it to like %20!!!!!!!!

What duties? I've never shipped anything to/from Canada, but I thought the "FT" in "NAFTA" meant "free trade". I always assumed there weren't any duties.
I've heard others complain also. The only time I was charged duties was when I ordered my OEM lip from radely. Though I was getting an AWSOME deal. $120 US plus shipping. Shipping was $60 US instead of $39 for Canada. Ok no prob still a good deal. Then when UPS shows up a the door, they charge me like $80 CDN!!!! I was expeacting something but it was rediculous! It ended up cousting my $390 CDN to get that damn thing to my house, and another $200 painting it! That's $600 for a front lip! I love it, but I could bought some RAD tires for $600 buck!
END Rant.
P.S. The locla acura dealer wanted like $900 CDN for a lip.

Hehehehe....not so in our case. Anything coming to Canada has to be charged with Canadian Taxes. Same goes when anything from Canada goes to the US. Only exceptions I know of are
1) Items declared as a gift or $0 value (not good if items are lost in the mail).
2) If items shipped to the US from Canada has a stamp "Made in the USA", it is not liable for duties (as far as I know). Same goes if it says "Made in Canada" going to Canada. This has to do more with job security and stuff like that. Hence we have a very complicated customs policy.
