Default What all is needed to do Power Steering Conversion of 88 CRX Si

I wanted to add power steering to my car but I don't know what all I need exactly. I know I'll need the bracket, the power steering pump, the reservoir, and pressure power steering hose from a D-series motor.

What else do I need?

Sorry for this noob question also, but anyone know any good DIYs to install Power Steering? Seems pretty straightforward.

Rack and pinion from a 88-91 civic. While your at it, I would also change out tie rod (depending on condition), alignment will be needed afterwards.

88-91 Civic which trim? Wagon? or all models have the right rack and pinion?

Thanks for the help!

One more question, is it worth it?

LOL! That's a good one. Honestly, I just don't like the difficulty of low speed turning that's all... ie parking, etc.

Do you notice pain in your Teres Major?
Are you embarrassed when your passengers notice your body lifting out of your seat while rotating the steering wheel?
Do you envy those that can exit a parking spot with the added ease and luxury provided by power steering?

If so, then you may find power steering to be a good upgrade.

Also read that running higher tire pressure makes it easier too.

Yes... I have had PS in all my cars.
Well, except that RX-3 wagon I picked up for $300 as my very first car.
Belt comes off if the car went to a track.

If you are going to add it, it would be interesting to see if you could make a rack from a 92~95 fit.
The power steering in those adjusts at high speed to reduce 'twitch'.
Basically regulates the power steering so it isn't as active at higher speeds.

Oh sick. You're one of the few who I've seen that have been all for PS. Most people are like just deal with it and use your muscles.

I haven't done much work with fabrication to make things fit and definitely never in a Honda so I don't think I'd have a clue about trying to make the EG rack fit.

If you'd like to help me someday, I would gladly appreciate the help. lol.

I still have a CX pump and bracket floating around.
Cars have all come with PS so why remove it?
I don't do wire tucks, nobody looks under the hood, so PS is nice on a DD.
Same with A/C, but that's a bit tougher to hold on to with a swap.

I've never owned an ef with power steering. You just learn to roll a tad then turn.

Yeah that's what was said earlier... I think it'd just be nice to have power steering with the convenience and all.
