Icon2 n00b D16A1 swap...few questions.

n00b to honda and swapping. I just bought a project car (91 civic dx hatch) with a d16a1 (brown top) swapped in(or atleast from what i can tell based on what i was told and the research ive done). swap was almost finished. I need to get a intake manny w/ tb and i'm probably gonna need to get a wire harness. am i better off getting a d16a1 intake or a ZC? and if the ZC is there a specific one? and for the harness i might be able to salvage it but i need a diagram that shows basically what wires/plugs are needed to make the engine run.

The d16a1 intake is basically the same as the ZC only difference is the d16a1 has a slight lean to it.....you can put either or on it.

just has to be DOHC ZC - ZC is much better than D16A1 - stay away from 86-87 D16A1 - use 88-89

for wiring, you need to use the DX engine harness and convert it from DPFI to MPFI

thanks a million jlicrx. you just gave me the two answers i've been lookin night and day for, for the last week.

and just so i'm clear, i want an 88-89 zc intake and i'm gonna use the engine harness from my 91 dx and just convert it to mpfi?

if its a dx it should be mpfi, if it has 4 injectors its good, unless thats only sedans

Like jlicrx said stay away from 86 - 87 manifold and get an 88 - 89 manifold.

Use the wiring harness for your chassis and convert that harness to MPFI.

If you cant find an intake manifold hit me up I think I have one or two in the shed somewhere.
