Worth to buy a Race R and return it back to stock for DD?
My friend is selling his 98 R race car for dirt cheap for $6k
it has a bolt-in 6 point cage, ohlin coilover, b18c tuned with hondata s300
Any concerns when returning a fully fabricated race car to a stock daily driver?

Bolt in cage is, well... bolt in. Carpet may have holes in it because of this if it has carpet. Get new carpet. If it really has Ohlin coilovers, sell them for profit and buy a stock setup if you want to go that way.
Its only worth it if you want this car and want to put in the work to return it to stock.

ill trade u my stock itr ecu for your s300. and my shocks and springs for the ohlins lol.
heheh with a couple bucks on top of course.
But yes, at that price you are getting a very good deal. It shouldnt be too hard at all to convert it back to a streetable car. You can DD it the way it is, as long as it has all the street legal necessities. IE head lights tail lights. etc etc.
Post some pics, Im starting the build on my type r. Id be willing to swap some parts.

Any track vinyls on the body? I bought a track-ready DC5 with the same intentions, but then realized that once you remove the vinyls, the paint is a slightly different shade underneath because it hasn't faded at the same rate as the rest. Didn't want to repaint the entire car just for that, so I just kept it as a track car and built it out further, haha.

Well- the problem is that the RSX is Milano Red. The paint underneath the vinyls is still Milano Red, while the rest of the paint has slowly faded towards Milano Pink : )

what I worry is the mount / weld to the floor will be grow rust
as I plan to keep this toy until I have a family
Type R worths everything for me !
Clean body and paint? Then it wasn't really a race car!
Rust? Use some paint/primer on the exposed metal and then seal the holes, soup.

A type R is factory built race car and the mods you posted are mild i would just rock it as is. Mine is way more tuned and it's a daily driver just sayn!
