Default K20A3 cams how to??

I will be putting in a set of Skunk2 stage 1 cams in my friend 03 RSX. I have never done internal work on a K series before so this will be a first for me. I have done plenty of D and B cams and I am a repair tech so I am by no means a noob. Just wondering if there is anything special with the K series and doing the cams? It looks like there is a plate that comes off the timing cover to remove the chain tensioner to remove the chain from the cam gears correct?? Or will the whole timing chain cover need to come off?? Any advise would be great, thanks.

Skunk has a 15 min cam swap video on their website as well.

Keep us posted on the results, one of my customers didn't have too bad a results with the S1. Makes about the same power as a stock Z1 now.

Well all companies that made a stage 1 cam for the A3 have discontinued them so a stock exhaust cam when back in. The center 2 cam lobes had some major wear in them, I will post up pics of it soon, so it sounded like the valve lash was way loose. The rocker arms where fine and undamaged, pretty weird. Well the cam sap went well, easy to do, only took 1st time with a K motor about 1 1/2 hours to do the job. No more valve train noise and runs great. It needed new struts pretty bad so I put some KYB's on it and did the alignment that was way off. The RSX base 5 speed handles really nicely, sharp in the turns but has a crap ton of torque steer compared to my LS Vtec Civic, you can feel that it has more TQ than my 1.8L. My Civic is much faster all around though.

Yeah I did. Some came off the cam has I wiped the lobe with my nail but I could see nothing inside the head and the roller rockers were undamaged. All is good now, runs like a champ.
