Default turbo integra over heating

i got a 1999 integra with the stock b18. when i drive over 120mph its starts to over heat. replaced the water pump, thermostat, and flushed the radiator. but it still over heats. it still has the stock radiator and fans and it still has ac would get a bigger radiator but would have to remove the ac the fans and trans already had to be trimmed to get the turbo to fit so i really dont have much room. could the ac thing that looks like a radiator be in the way or does it just need a bigger radiator

Pretty sure its the radiator especially if its only after 120 which would be a long pull which your car will get the hottest

Why the hell are you driving sustained at 120mph? The load on the engine is why you are over heating, not your cooling system.

^^^yes but with a better cooling system it would work fine, your condensor does not help things, if u dont live anywhere super hot i would get rid of the ac and get a decent dual core. it is curious why youre doing 120mph when the limit is 55.

No need to remove a/c to get it to run cooler. I run a/c in my car and although it doesnt run cool (peaks at 210) thats on a 20 psi pull up to 150mph and i only have a half core radiator. if he is still running an oem sized dc radiator then it must be no good because it should run cooler than a half core does and should be able to sustain 120mph (even though its endangering lives)

Lol, add two drops of Palmolive to the coolant and always remember to crank your heater on while you're doing those kamikaze highway pulls.

1. Please tell me you replaced the Thermostat with an OEM one and did NOT use aftermarket junk?

2.To try and properly cool off your radiator, you will have to get creative and develop some type of air ducting that routes outside air directly toward the radiator. Since you still have a condenser its likely blocking the radiator from getting cooler air through it... get those fabrication tools out and think outside the box. Literally.

A good way to bring those temps down is to wrap your downpipe in that header wrap stuff. A lot of times with B and D series turbo cars the downpipe sits right next to the radiator and cooks the hell out of it.

Also, I agree with people who posted in this thread saying that ducting is your best bet.

could be signs of a headgasket, get a testor and see if coolant shows signs of bad HG. What RPM are you reving this engine to?

coolant smelling like gas??? Sounds like you got a blown head gasket there man. Do a carbon block test to verify though.

Yea, a turbo blanket and header wrap are some good ideas. Also custom duct work or shrouding would help to direct more airflow into the radiator.
