Default Accord sir-t problem

I bought an Accord sir-t a few months ago and I knew buying it that the left drive was on the way out. It was vibrating over 100kmph and it was pulling to one side on acceleration.

I got a drive and fitted it and the problem seems to have got worse. Very different anyway.

At around 50kmph there is a vibration from the left side of the front of the car, and it's still pulling to the right alot..

There is no play in the drive and everything is tight.

I did notice that on one side there is an arm that is different than the other. Here are pictures of it:

And this is where the arm is linked to the frame of the car.

Could this be causing my problem?

I'm running out of possibilities at this stage

Your image lninks have been cut off and they don't work. However I am going to go an guess and say that you are talking about the radius rods and there bushings that are located in the front cross member. Yes, if these are loose, worn or out of adjustment they can cause steering issues. They can cause wheel hop on acceleration, a wobble at speed and they will cause your car to pull.

Other things to look at would be the bushings and ball joints in the suspension. A loose, worn or broken one of any of these can also cause high speed shakes.

@GhostAccord:

Thank you very much, yes that's exactly what I'm talking about, I didn't know the exact name of the arm.
I got my links working properly now.

Nothing else seems loose so I'm hoping its the radius rod that's causing the problem. It got far worse since I fitted a new drive shaft, the old one was wobbling a lot.

Thank you very much for your help, I am very grateful

Hopefully I can find this part and see if it fixes it..

I would look closely at your wheel bearing and lower ball joint. Where you have been taking the suspension apart to replace the CV shaft. And it has gotten worse since then. One of those two components may have loosened up.

What method are you using to check the ball joints and tie rods?

Thanks for the advice, I have since found out from another Sir-t owner that the radius rods are not the same on the left and right.

My lower ball joint is leaking grease now, Id imagine from the wobbling.

I am jacking the car up and checking for movement at 12&6 and 3&9 o'clock.

What other methods are there to check ball joints and tie rods?

Thanks for the help
