99 honda accord missfires under load when warm
I have a 99 honda accord 2.3 v tech (f23a1) it misfires only when it is up to temp, under load and under 2000 rpm I decided to replace the motor because it's got a lot of oil blow by, has 306k miles on it and because of the misfire. all cyl were between 210 and 220psi compression test all sensors were tested and good including the obvious fuel injectors, the fuel pressure was also fine. When I cracked open the intake manifold I found a large amount of carbon build up in the egr tube could this have been the cause of all the problems?
I've got another motor I'm putting in. I think I'm going to be rebuilding the old motor and and turning it into a g23 I also found out that the balancer shaft belt had snapped after I took the timing cover off. I don't know how long it was like that but I thought if you took off the belt to the balancer shaft the oil wouldn't flow right and blow the motor. I did replace both belts in the new motor I'm putting in lol
