ok i wanna know if its possible to swap the sycros from a 99 ek S40 (hydro) transmission to a 90 ef L3 (cable)transmission ....i just picked up an S40 in hopes that i could do this. their both d- series setups and i got it in good condition and cheap

i just want to know if it can be done if not im just going to use the S40 as a
learning tool and take it apart and put it back together a bunch of times till i can do it in my sleep lol unless somebody needs a S40 trans for $200 obo

the reason for the post is i need to get my dd up and running RIGHT i drive to work everyday on 1st-2nd-5th gear and id like to have my 3-4 back
