Hello everyone, I recently bought a 97 Accord LX with a H22A swap. It looks like the swap wasn't done very well. The H22 seems to be from 97-01, however, the ECU looks to have a conversion (will include a pic). There is a Hondata S300 installed so I'm thinking it's and OBDII to OBDI. I know the wiring harness is going to have to be replace due to some broken clips on the plugs. What I am trying to figure out is what wiring harness am I going to have to buy? Not sure if it makes a difference, but the Accord does have A/C. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
OK well the picture you posted is of a hacked up obd2 > obd1 ecu conversion harness.
Whether the main engine harness that plugs into it is lude or accord I can't be sure but like v4 said you can use your accord harness and just lengthen some wires to make it compatible with the h22.
All of the necessary changes the harness are well covered in the FAQ section in this forum so you should be all good there.
What you should replace is that conversion harness though, that or spent a good amount of time with a soldering iron and heat shrink to repair those ghetto butt connected and electrical tape issues.
Your ecu relies on precise voltage readings from sensors in the engine to accurately interpret data about the engines running condition.
Connections like you have on that harness can cause resistance issues, loss of voltage, or fall apart completely.
Edit:
If you are looking to replace that conversion harness then the main wiring harness will not be included.
Here's what I'd recommend.
