LS: 87 octane and LS motors usually last longer, but seen some high mileage gsr's
GSR: 91 octane and usually oil burners...less torque for normal driving
im happy with my LS..gets 35mpg but do wish i had vtec sometimes....but whatever

but seriously, best swap is a D15 dpfi non vtec. fastest motor Honda has ever produced. and don't buy a Honda, swap the motor into a Celica, they are way lighter.. so you'll be stupid fast at the track!
