Default What power Goal should I go for

Whats up guys. I'm putting together a ls-vtec turbo motor. Here's my setup:
B16 head (stock)
B18b1 bottom end (81mm)
JE 9:1 piston
Eagle H-beam rods
Eagle crank (knife edge-lightweight)

I just wanna know since I'm not sleeved. What power goal is safe to stay around.I have a small turbo for right now but I will be runninga 60-1in the future. People please do not respond if you're a hater!!!!! I just want people to respond that have experience with ls-vtec setup. Also should I run a block guard and a crank girdle? Please help lol..

500hp is when it starts getting iffy on the sleeves, I know people will come in here saying there bro's boy's cosuin's sister's boyfriend's LSV is making 600+ on stock sleeves, but whatever. Just keep it between 400-500hp and you will be safe.

Don't bother with a block guard.

I wouldnt use a block guard at all on any build. waste of time and money and will do more harm then without. if you arent reving higher in your rpms, which im highly doubting you wont be since its a dd, then you wont need a girdle. for the crank, seriously dude sell that piece of ****. you can achieve your power goal with a stock crank. spend the money you make from selling the crank and use it somewhere better. an oem crank is way better then an eagle crank. those eagle cranks have known to brake ALOT.

what you just said proves my point. theres a reason you cant sell it. only way is to sell it cheap. or use it and risk it.

SMH...

i would highly recommend not listen to this guy. a block guard is not going to help the sleeves at 500+ and be reliable at all.

either keep the stock sleeves with no block guard or sleeve it. your gonna do whatever you want to do no matter what we say about the crank so do your thing.

Have you been trying to sell the crank at retail price? Drop it down a couple hundred, it should sell then.

One pousand horsepower.

No but seriously.
I would be happy in the 350-450 range.

Traction- street tires are only going to give you so much!

If your stuck on keep that garbage eagle crank then keep it below 300whp. it will hold more but longevity is out the window. You want it to last use the oem crank and dont touch it other than being sure its balanced and true. Stock sleeves can handle 500 reliably with the right tuner and turbo combination. they've been over 700hp but they dont last at all

1. Stock crank > Eagle Crank - Fact

2. Stock sleeves are safe to the mid to low 400whp range, but it depends on a million different things. If you have a good tuner and are confident in his ability, there's no reason it can't make 450-500whp 'safely'

3. Block guards are worthless...end of story
