I have a 1995 Accord 2.2 V-tec EX, while driving it completely shut down. Towed it home and it will run while key is in the start position but as soon as you let the key go to run position the car shuts off...have replace fuel filter, fuel pump and main power relay...help please

 

a friend of mine had this problem. had to keep the key turned to drive it which is hard with a 5 speed. it was the ignition switch.

 

You know I remember seeing something about a recalled ignition switch, but that was for the 97 accord. Your 95 might be under the same recall. Goodluck with your problem!

 

thanks guys..as it turns out it was the ignition switch, as long as you hold the key in the right spot she runs like a top...kind of hard to drive around town like that....lol
