Tire selection for 16x8 wheels using Tein Basic coilover
so i have made my mind on Tien basic coilvers.
now for the tire wheel setup, i want to run 16X8 wheels with Et20 offset wheels on my Em1, i don't want to ruin my fenders with rolling them since i drive it in winter....and i was wondering what is the best tire setup for that...also not looking to run camber plates...maybe i will replace the LCA since i know they **** the bed...
so i was wondering either 205-40 or 195-45? what do you guys think i just want a nice clean Low but no rubbing and shitty ride.

Neither of those tires are the right size for your vehicle.
And you won't find proper tires with that size wheel.
a 15x8 would would but not a 16x8.
I would get wheels that fit your car.
Also, since you've already made up your mind, this has nothing to do with suspension and brakes, other than your tires/wheels are part of your suspension. So I'm moving it to wheel and tire.
I also edited your thread title since "Can it work?" Tells the forum browsers absolutely nothing, and in fact discourages people from clicking your thread.

From the Forum Rules and FAQ:
This type of question is better suited for the Appearance forums, if anywhere.
10. Do not ask about "stretching" tires onto wheels that are too wide.
All such topics will be locked. Tire manufacturers determine the wheel widths onto which each model and size tire can be mounted safely, and you can find the range of these wheel widths in the specs on their websites as well as those of retailers like the Tire Rack. Mounting tires onto wheels outside this range of approved wheel widths is unsafe because it can, and often does, result in the buildup of excessive stress and heat in the tire sidewalls, which can lead to the tire "popping the bead" and/or tire failure. Make sure your tires are mounted on wheels whose widths are within the approved range.
