Default 98 Accord Automatic transmission removal.

Hello everyone !!!! I'm new to the Honda-tech site, I was doing some search on the site on how to remove Automatic transmission on a 98 Accord but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know how to do this step by step, some answers please i have to bring this back by tomorrow to have it rebuilt.

If you don't have mechanic experience in transmission removal, I wouldn't bother. Your car is going to be out of commission anyways once it's removed so why don't you get the shop to remove it?

Automatic Transaxle REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Accord 2.2L & 2.3L ENGINES

Also, how to remove the trans???, although for the previous generation, is very helpful. You can use a floor jack instead of a trans jack; just be careful to not let the trans fall off.

look it up for a 97 and older its the same steps unplug everything take transaxles out empty tranny fluid have something hold the tranny inplace such as tire or jack un bolt all bolts except 1 then unbolt the tranny mount and do the last bolt on the tranny and voala u might have to pry it off sometimes but please do remeber to unplug everything cause u dont want to replace wires or cables

keep in mind that the '98-'02 has a "K" shaped front cross-member instead of the "T" shaped cross-member in the '90-'97. it needs to be removed either way, just don't let the difference throw you off.

Thank you all for the input, I had a mechanic take the tranni down for me, at the same time, I was watching him do it, is not that difficult when you have the car up on the hoist.
