98 Accord Automatic transmission removal.
Hello everyone !!!! I'm new to the Honda-tech site, I was doing some search on the site on how to remove Automatic transmission on a 98 Accord but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know how to do this step by step, some answers please i have to bring this back by tomorrow to have it rebuilt.
If you don't have mechanic experience in transmission removal, I wouldn't bother. Your car is going to be out of commission anyways once it's removed so why don't you get the shop to remove it?

Also, how to remove the trans???, although for the previous generation, is very helpful. You can use a floor jack instead of a trans jack; just be careful to not let the trans fall off.

look it up for a 97 and older its the same steps unplug everything take transaxles out empty tranny fluid have something hold the tranny inplace such as tire or jack un bolt all bolts except 1 then unbolt the tranny mount and do the last bolt on the tranny and voala u might have to pry it off sometimes but please do remeber to unplug everything cause u dont want to replace wires or cables
keep in mind that the '98-'02 has a "K" shaped front cross-member instead of the "T" shaped cross-member in the '90-'97. it needs to be removed either way, just don't let the difference throw you off.
Thank you all for the input, I had a mechanic take the tranni down for me, at the same time, I was watching him do it, is not that difficult when you have the car up on the hoist.
