Not trying to be a dick but that's priced very high. Where did the 10,000 in the engine come from

 

Full 2.3l stroker, Cars transmission ALONE is $5,000. Plus the differentials, axles, wheels/tires, paint, etc.

 

Gotta bump for a fellow DSM fella :-) ^ and to the guy above me believe me dsm's are not that cheap to built my bottom end cost $8,500 alone to built but then again it is built to hold 1,000 awhp :-)

 

Thanks for the bump!!! DSM's are VERY expensive to build, mine is safe to 700+, trans is safe to around 600(according to the website)

 

Yea I've built a few but never spent 10000 on an engine

 

Have you never done a 2.3 stroker? I also had to pay for all machining, and the built head.

 

10,000 in the motor???? If that is true you got taken to the cleaners. Buschur and slow boy sell out the box 2.3 motors for you for half that with almost everything you'd need. 10k is sick high. Even the exclusive FFWD guys haven't sold many motors for over 10k to my knowledge. I've built quite a few legit dsm's, I understand that prices are high for quality parts. Just don't see where it's all at. Built head and 2.3 in a recent fwd that I had my hands in was 4300$. Block identical to yours with parts, head was a tad different. Motors still good and in its second chassis now. Good luck with a 10k 1g. I hope you get close to your asking price. The work involved merits it but the economy and the demand for clean 1g's just does not exist anymore. Keep it, cage it, put some bad *** coilovers on it, and take to the road course!

 

Also, it does have a full suspension, you just reminded me! And I wasn't paying for it, so it's fine if it cost too much

That is you sending the transmission in and having it built, they used to sell ready to go transmissions which ran $5,250 if I am not mistaken. It was over $5,000 that's for sure.
