i got a question .. i just put a mini-me swap in my car (d16y8 - with chipped p-28 ecu, obd1) im asking what would i have to do to swap in a 98+ spec type r b18c .. i believe everything should bolt right up and nothing should have to be wired special .. like vtec or anything .. the only thing i would need to get would be a usdm type r engine harness .. any ideas ???

type r harness would be 2 piece so it won;t work you can mod the stuck harness to work though.(extend wire's)

 

I have a 98 jdm gsr motor in my 98 hx and it works flawless, don't see what other things would have to be done for a type r since they are pretty much the same.

 

Well that's my question .. when u got the jdm swap u didn't have to swap engine harnesss because of the whole rhd.. aren't all the plugs backwards ?? Other than that I know everything will hook right up except the engine harness and ecu of course
