Default LOWERING MY SI 07

im new to this, just got a SI 07, the first thing i want to do is lower it... main question is SPRINGS or COIL OVERS? im not really interested in spending 1000 on lowering it but if its the better option then sure.. i dont want to ruin the ride of my car nor have that " bouncy" ride that my gf has on her car.. should i go with springs? or coil overs? and whats all this talk about new shocks? im new to the mod game.. this is my first car! advice greatly appreciated.. oh yeah and i dont want it to lower it more then 2 inchs i dont wanna be scared every time i go over a bump or see a speed bump... !

I had TEIN s tech springs on my 07 4dr lx and liked them. Road nice no bounce. Now have a 07 4dr si with skunk2 springs and i like them but do miss my Tein springs the skunk2's are a 2" drop and the Tein were I believe 1.5" drop. So i feel I do have to look for those bumps more often then before with my tein's. But the Love the slam look lol. Never had coilovers so sorry no input.

Your struts will wear out if you only replace the springs. I had Buddy Club N+ coilovers on my '08 Si and liked them. Your handling will suffer if you lower it more than 1.5", so I wouldn't go lower than that.

well springs arent adjustable so if you decided one day you wanted to raise it or lower it more then you cant with the coils you can. when you lower it on stock shocks they will wear out quicker than some good shocks made for lowered cars.

i would suggest either a sleeve spring coilover set with aftermarket shocks of your preference or a full coilover setup there are many to choose from

Tokico Blues are OEM replacements. You should go with struts that're designed for lowering springs.

Go with Coilovers! you can find some for a good deal. if you want that flushed look get coils. If your going to get springs mine as well save another 300 and get you come coils.
