I have a 91 accord with no mods or anything to the engine. Its all stock. Im having an issue with its startup. In the mornings it has a slower than usual start but has so far started Up everytime. However when i stop for a short period ( getting gas for example) it will crank for about 6 seconds before starting really weak or it will take 2-3 times to start. My battery and alternator are br.and new and i read somewhere that if it starts and runs at all without dying, its not the main relay. What else could it be?

 

Vince have you done a spark test/ tested the coil or pick up relay? Thats were I would start. Also when was the last time you did a tune up?

 

I have done a spark test when I replaced the head gasket in january and i have replaced the ignition coil. It statted a little better when i replaced the coil but is still giving me the weak start. Tune up done about 4 months ago and im not sure how to test the pick up relay.
