nope... closer to 18 or 19 inches of mercury

(autometer 18/19 "Pounds" of vacuum)

My car working properly is about 550 mm of mercury, but when it's acting stupid like it's on 3 cylinders or missing is about 450 mm of mercury...

Vaccum gauges don't typically read in PSI. They read in mmHg or inHg.

I was wondering that, but he said he needed psi. Does anybody know what the Autometer guages read vacuum in? mmHg or inHg?

He doesn't need PSI though. hehe.

The autometers do inches of mercury.

I'm at 18/19 vacuum at idle, and 21 vacuum on a deacceleation... healthy right?

i had 18 in hg with AC on, 20 at idle no AC, and 22 on decel.

then the fvckers stole my gauges.

I wouldnt make that assumption. I can open a vac line to air and the vac stays within 1 in of Hg from where I started.

I tried this to see if the gauge was a good indicator of a vac leak....I found out it is not.
