00' lude with h23a?
Hey I'm a complete noob and this may be my first car. I learned a lot bout cars these past few weeks but I might buy this prelude right now. But I thought ludes come with h22a not h23a. Was the engine swapped and or how much power does the h23 make?

I don't have enough time to look it up to tell specifics (even wikipedia will tell you the specifics), but my first prelude came with an h23. Do some searching. The preludes usually came with anything in the H-series...the accords had the f-series...etc etc

Pretty sure the h23a makes the same power, little more tq, and no they didn't come with the car. It's a motor people usually swap instead of another h22 because it's cheaper and readily available.
Honestly, I just swapped to an H23A VTEC (the blue top engine) a few days ago and I like it better for daily driving. It may only have 2 more lb-ft of torque at its peak, but you can feel there is more usable torque across the whole revband. It feels as fast with 2-3 people in the car as the H22 felt with just myself.
