On my car I have a hose coming from the bottom of the engine(back side) that runs towards the firewall but cuts left behind the engine to a metal connection of some sort. I can't see it in the narrow space but the metal connection has corroded and snapped off leaking coolant. I need to know what the part is and if it is replacable by a layman at home. Any thoughts would be great. I have no pics due to the space restrictions and I cannot find any diagrams or pictures that reference the part.
