Default fuel commander?

ok now on the motorcycles( honda gl1800)they make a programmer to tell the ecu to dump more fuel and me and some buddys where talking about the "bully" programmers that plug into the obd2 port to change the ecu maps now with the gl1800 programmer it has to be hard wired into the bike and somr of the people around here in duval are saying that you can wire the same programmer on the honda automobiles....true or false?

Why? There are already enough tuning options that are plug and play for Honda tuning.

I don't think it would work all that well on early OBD2 Honda's. Those bikes and the power commander are based on a COP ignition setup. Not a distributor and ignitor style. As for the bully programmer for the price of it and it's limitations. You would be better off with the AEM FIC or one of the other piggy back options for OBD2 Honda's.

To be honest though, going with a fully tunable chipped OBD1 ECU is still the cheapest and easiest tuning option for those who don't require OBD2 for testing.

Not sure if it;s a rumor from hell. but it would definitely be an install & tune from hell. I'm sure that there are some parts of the hardware that could be hooked up. You might be able to use fuel elements. What good is adjusting the fuel if you can't make any other adjustments. With this you would be limited to the lack of hardware and software support.

Good choice taking the tested and true road.
