I wish I found this site two days ago
I purchased a 2003 Acura TL Type S from an auction in PA today. Drove the car for about two minutes and got the code P1750, which means new transmission. It is amazing that it was fine in the auction parking lot, but when I got off the premises, it started to act up. The transmission started to slip from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. The most interesting thing that occurred was the D-5 light started blinking, and then the car went into like fourth or fifth gear. The car had a slow start, but the transmission never slipped.
You should have taken it right back. What kind of auction was this? They should have announced "transmission concerns" It's too late now but you could have brought it to arbitration and got out of the car.
