I think if you look around long enough, you can probably find a vtec honda car that will cost less than the expense of buying a vtec engine/transmission and having it fabricated to mount/work in your car.

Find yourself some honda friends and start gaining some knowledge first though. I am guessing "1995" is your birth year, which would make you 17 (I am assuming)?? You got a lot to learn before you go swapping heads/blocks/stuff.

First ya need to expand your knowledge/friend-base. Then decide on the car you want based on whether you will be happy with the motor in it OR what is easilllllly swapped in (and make sure you can afford it). Maybe in a few cars or so, then you will be ready to take on more difficult stuff.

Forgive me if I am wrong on my assumption. I based it only on your username and the nature of your original question.

There is a thread (here on HT I think) about a guy that put an H22 in his 1986 or 1987 Si. I believe he spent TWENTY-FIVE thousand dollars after all was said and done. He also restored the interior completely, fixed the rust on the rear quarter wheel arches, fixed all of the dents and scratches, and resprayed the entire car. This guy wanted to do this, and he had the money to do it. Most people do not, and would rather just buy a different car instead.

The only way to get VTEC is with another engine, the A18 you have can't be converted to VTEC. To do the swap you could probably use the 86-89 accord innovative mount but you'll have to search that. If you really enjoy the car and feel its worth the extra trouble to fix it up then go for it.

Here's a 2g prelude with a B16.

edit: IDK why the link doesn't work but go to prelude power> 2nd gen> ba B16
