obd1 engine swap into 00 civic questions???
im putting a jdm b16a in my brothers 00 civic ex. what connectors am i gonna have to re-pin?, which ecu will work for passing nys inspection?, which engine mounts will need to be re-used and which will need to be bought?, to retain a/c which brackets will need to be bought?
i have done other swaps such as a jdm obd2 b18c type r into an 93 del sol, and jdm obd1 f22b into a 96 accord, so im familiar with engine swaps just not this particular one. im looking to do this the most economical way possible. this car will never see a track and will mostly remain stock so i dont need hasport mounts or anything. just looking to wake the car up a bit with a b series motor so i dont plan on going crazy.

is there any ecus that will not require a jumper harness that will work with the jdm ob1 engine? 00 civic si or 98 integra gsr ecu maybe? i know im gonna have to wire in a second o2 sensor to pass inspection but what other wiring harness modifications need to be done?
It should already have a 2nd 02. You can use the P2T from the 99-00 Si. You'll have to bypass the CKF but it's no big deal. Reuse your EX injectors. Rewire the distributor plugs. Also the alternator will need to be from an OBD2 b series to plug in or rewire the plug.

whats a p2k? so ill have to repin the distributor connector, and the alternator connector but why do you say to reuse the ex injectors? couldnt i just repin the connectors and use the ones that are on the obd1 b16?
what am i gonna need for an ecu thats not gonna require a jumper harness?

yes the 99-00 si ecu will work and you will need the rear t bracket from a 99-00 si as well, rest you will be able to reuse. To retain ac by using the d series compressor you will need a P54 ac bracket off a del sol vtec.

can i use the compressor that came on the new motor or will the ac lines not bolt up?
so everything to make this engine work is:
si ecu
si t-bracket
integra shift linkage(i have that laying around from previous swap)
si axles
ckp bypass
repin distributor connector
repin alternator connector
ac bracket
swap over injectors
anything im forgetting?

if the block is stamped B16A its an sir-II, and if you were to buy the P54 ac bracket you can use all of the d series ac parts including the compressor it will bolt right up
you say all i need is just the t bracket for the rear mount and ac bracket and that everything else is the same....
according to this diagram of a civic ex: http://www.myhondapartsstore.com/myh...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal
and this one of a civic si: http://www.myhondapartsstore.com/myh...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal
there is quite a few different part numbers. do i need only the ac bracket and t bracket or do i need every part number that is different between the two pics?

and is there any extra sensors or emissions crap that needs to be wired up differently? obviously other than a second O2 sensor.
Not all B16A's are SiR-II motors. Educate yourself a little.

The ECU may or may not have come in the same car that the motor came out of, so that doesn't really help. The better bet would be the head.

Look for that stamp on your head. Post up the year code in it.

ok I'm just a couple days from diving into this. to make it more plug and play which alternator will I need? nippon denso or Mitsubishi?
also since I'm gonna be re-pining the connector for the distributor, what wire colors will I need to match up?

I know about the ckp bypass which will fix the cel problem but if u look at the wire colors and their functions at the top, there is 2 wires on the obd1 distributor that are "n/a" on the obd2 distributor. r these wires just left with nothing going to them? it says they r rpm lead wires, and of they aren't hooked to anything then where is it gonna get the tach signal from for the tachometer?
someone please help!

yeah but the next sentence, which hardly makes sense, says that these wires will need to be added when converting to obd1 or obd2a or obd2b. so if these wires need to be added, then where do I wire them into? I don't think they can just be left there not hooked to anything?
