Default 90-91 ls trans id?

hey, I HAVE SEARCHED for the last 30 minutes or so trying to find and answer and can't. i am trying to hunt down an ls 5th gear for my b16 trans. i have a guy with two busted ls trannies he will sell me, he SAYS they are from 90-91 models but i need to be sure before i pay. its a decent price for the pair, i am wondering how i can tell for sure they are from a 90 or 91 ls? is there any way other than cracking em open and measuring the gear shaft diameter? thanks in advance. if your gonna flame, wait till my question has been answered plz.

I think the A1 and S1 have the same gearing for 90-91.

Better off with S1 the YS1 is an exact to the ones off of the 94-2000. The fifth gear you are thinking of is off from any high performance of the B-series consider to do an upgrade instead in one of these malfunction B18A transmission.
