pressure plate
im not sure the lifespan on pressure plates. if u say so, since ill have everthing apart i will. does the flywheel need to be cleaned or prepped in anyway for reinstallation?
People suggest resurfacing the flywheel upon clutch removal..but not necissary if there are no signs of damage or extreme wear..but seeing how u have 100k on your car, it might be a good idea to resurface it anyway, you can do this at any machine shop
Don't most clutch kits come with the pressure plate anyways? I think its like 125 dollars for an OEM spec one from a auto parts store. I'd resurface flywheel while your at it, unless you know what your doing pulling the trans takes a lot of time.
Ill be going with honda parts. Thanks for the info. As of now ill be resurfacing flywheel and getting a honda clutchpad and pressureplate and a pilot and clutch release bearing.

Well driven clutch components last a lifetime. If its been abused enough to wear down a clutch disc then it would be well advised to replace all the components to assure no problems later on. If your replacing it to acquire a firmer tighter feeling clutch then your probably going to be replacing it all anyway. Typical they don't wear out unless you put them under some heavy abuse. My 93 civic has atleast 350k miles on the stock clutch and it still holds strong, not as firm as I'd like but I have no worries of it wearing out and leaving me stranded.
