Default EF "wagon van" RTAWD CONVERSION Questions

I'm not new to efs in the very least. I've owned 3 CRX's, Two Hatches and one sedan. I'm a honda guy and I'm not new to B,D or K. I've decided I want to get an ef wagon. what I'd like to do is a B20 vtec AWD (maybe turbo). I can only find FWD in my area. So I'm on a fact finding mission. Here's the deal, I have a project in mind. B series wago van. My problem is I want a rtawd. There incredably hard to find. I have found a MINTY Fresh FWD for sale for a killer deal. So My questions are 1.) how much of a head ache is it going to be to convert it to rtawd/ is it even possible 2.) Would i just basically need to use CRV componits because Its going to be bsereis awd? I know that the RTAWD has a cable type linkage, and the trans mount is at a different angle. so I'm in need of guidance for said project.

If you would have searched you would have found TONs of these builds. They are quite common these days and people are even starting to move on to bigger things already. If you want to put a CR-V drivetrain it requires a lot of fab work. If you are asking you probably don't have the skill set required. It really does help to search...

What is with all the people wanting to be spoon fed lately?

Thanks for the obvious suggestion and the dick demeanor. I did search and nothing covered a FWD to RTAWD conversion. If fyou notice my post count and join date you will see that its not often that i do post, its not for me not being on here, its that I ussally find what I need to know by searching. I said nothing about wanting to use a crv drive train, I asked if it was needed. The fact that you mentioned nothing about what I was inquiring about means you also have no idea. As far as my fab skill, You have know idea what I'm capable of so don't make any assumptions. I have more than ample experience and skill level to do what I need to do. I wanted to know if the conversion was going to be a complete fab or if I could use rear set up from an rtawd to help.

What does your join date have to do with anything? My original is much earlier in the 1999/2000 range... big whoop.

Regardless I know you didn't search for crap; here is the first link on the Google...

http://public.fotki.com/morgie/qsr/m...gsr_awd_turbo/

Pictures and all... If you can't figure it out from there then it's hopeless. If you actually spent some time in the CR-V section you would know I know a lot about the RT-4WD system - both versions of them. There are many threads on this - so actually try researching and when you have a SPECIFIC question, then ask and people will actually help you.

By asking "how hard is it/what's easier", it shows lack of dedication to the build and defines lack of skills. Look up "draggbody" and his build on here - he is the definition for doing new things especially in the RT-4WD department. He is the first to put a LSD in a CR-V transmission and make a "locker" rear-end. Our discussions helped his process of building. So please, knock it off kid and actually try.

As stated before - it is TONS of fab work to make EITHER drive-train work. This has been done on Civics - both Hatch and Sedan - as well as CRXs and various other models in other generations. Even though the details are a little different the ideas/work required are about the same.
