I just got done putting together this 96 dx hatch shell i bought. it has a jdm b18c with a ls trans. this has nothing do with the problem. i took it for the first drive the other day and the steering was horrible. it felt like the car was trying to turn the car every which way but straight. i jacked the car up and shook the wheels and they are tight but i can turn the wheels liek nothing and the steering wheel in the car just turns like butter. it is a power steering rack but i dont have the power steering hooked up, could this be the problem? or maybe the whole rack? its getting painted now so i cant really drive it but i have to get this fixed soon

How about you check back when you actually HAVE the car again? Can't troubleshoot a car you don't even have.
