97 Accord modification, multiple oppertunities
Well, I have a 97 Accord, its the kind of car a hot mom drives her kids to soccer practice in. and for against all logic, I have decided I want to have a little bit of fun with it, but I'm new to honda's so I may not understand everything perfectly, so go easy
My car has a f22b2 with a 4 speed auto (boring)
I have a crashed prelude si with a b20a5 and manual transmission, how hard would it be to swap? Whats the hop up potential with the b20? Turbo, head work? high compression pistons? would this be a step up or a step down from what I currently have?
now for the f22b2, I guess if I have to I shall keep auto
whats hop up like on this engine? would this motor with a manual be better than the b20?
The other thing I've noticed, is my accord is a horribly fat girl. Ladies don't like that. what are some basic things I can do to bring down the weight?
and please, I don't need to be made aware that my accord isn't the best car to try and make fast, I'm well aware that I'm a tard, I'm just a glutton for making slow cars somewhat cool.

There are tons of threads that address your questions in this section already. I would suggest doing an 'Advanced Search' limiting it to the Accord section and go through the Accord FAQ.
5th gen accords arent actually all that heavy...they're mid-size sedans, whereas current day accords are full size.
A 5th gen is roughly 2800-2900lbs. Same weight as a 4th gen Prelude, and lighter than a 5th gen Prelude. Although seeing as you might have came from a 3rd gen Prelude which are 2400lbs I think...those are pretty damn nimble in comparison I guess.
That aside, any car can be made to go fast and I think the accord is a decent car that more people should in fact be making fast (imo) instead of all tin can civics.
TheMuffinMan is right, do some research.
