97'-00' EJ hatch. Do they have A/C?
I was thinking, did they have A/C?
I am soon going to be ordering a turbo kit, and I was wondering incase the car wont be having A/C are there any downsides to having a A/C compatible kit?

The heat from your turbo will kill your compressor over time if you don't take measures. But if you keep A/C you really have no choice.
Indeed.
My 97' Hatchback did, and so does my current 00' hatchback.
Both were/are DX's.
Pretty sure it was at least an option for all civics. I live in the southeast, so I would guess dealers probably stocked more with A/C than without, considering the humid summers here can be brutal.

Alright, I'll just go with the non a/c compatible kit then
Mayb u guys could tell me which turbo is better overall?
Garret t3 60 .48 A/R or GT3255b?
I am in the position whether its worth the 300 extra bucks for the gt3255 in a kit =P

I'm not positive about the '96 - '00s but for the '92 - '95 Civics outside of the '94 - '95 EX sedans none of them came with factory A/C. What happened was you ordered the car with A/C and when it arrived at the dealership it was installed there in the form of a kit.
