Default Exedy clutch/flywheel choices

I am looking at a clutch/flywheel combo for my B16. Is anybody using the organic or cerametallic clutch. How is the engagement on each and do they hold greater than stock horsepower? Also has anyone had problems with the 90-91 integra application not working with a B16/J1 tranny?

i've been running the exedy clutch/flywheel combo for about 10 months. pedal pressure is slightly higher than stock, but not bad. they work pretty well for a stock application. i have, however, had a few problems with my exedy. i've experienced clutch chatter in the last few weeks, and a good friend of mine had the same exact problems with his exedy clutch. yet another friend who ran an exedy experienced noise from the clutch..if i could do it over i would just use a stock teg clutch w/ a type r flywheel, and save myself about 3 hundred bucks.

I was wondering the same thing...im in the market for a new clutch for my b18a. I want something that has good daily driveability but is strong enough to hold hard launches...especially when im boosted. What kind of clutch should i get? I heard that a street/strip clutch from ACT and a GSR pressure plate would be a good combo for a daily driven boosted car that will see some time at the track. Does this sound good to you guys? Where is a good place to buy clutches? thanks.

try clutchcityonline.com or coximports.com

is the organic clutch and cerametallic clutch only as good as stock as far as holding power?

I have an Exedy clutch w/ organic street disc. I've had it for at least 6 months (cant remember....i've got a selective memory) in my b16 w/ y1 trans. for the money it's a very good clutch. it's never slipped on me.....and the tires always squeel into 2nd and 3rd......and on occasion 4th. i've heard of the clutch not holding with a lsd trans and slicks when launched hard. i have shitty street tires and a non lsd trans with bolt ons.....so it's worked out pretty good for me

they told me that the organic street disc is supposed to hold 350hp at the wheels....im not sure if i believe that tho. it is a good increase over stock holding capacity tho (i heard one guy say it was a 69% increase over stock....but that's unconfirmed)

Its only 36% for the organic and 72% for the Cerametallic. 08-804 & 08-903
