OK, i purchased a H22a engine from japan a couple years back because i wanted to do the H23 swap. I tried wiring the vtec myself. so i bought a p13 ecu because thats what i thought was the correct ecu for my engine. it ran like ****. so i put the p14 back in, it runs beautify just no vtec. please help

Which fuel injectors are you using, and what wiring harness, internal or external coil etc? The P13 is what should run the Jdm engine, but some other things have to be done right as well.

 

i cant remember which injectors i used because i did the swap like a year and a half ago, but the harness is from the h23 and its the external coil, i'm just getting my license back so i wanna get her runnin right

Yeah, you have to use the injectors from the h22, not h23. Different sizes. P13 is the correct ECU. H23 distributor is correct too.

 

So is there a usdm p13 and a jdm p13?

 

Yes but differences in them aren't even noticeable other than the 180kph speed limiter on the JDM ecu.

 

ok i found one set of injectors, which say 5KJD with yellow paint over the letters

so if those are the h23 ones then i got the h22 injectors in my car now
