Default lca bushing problem

i have an eg civic but i put tein ra dampers on and had to replace my rear lca's with the itr ones. i have e.s. bushings all around and i want to replace the new lca bushings too. i took it to a shop and they wouldnt touch it, the guy said the press will collaps the lca, b.c it has a fork-like design rather than being one piece. is there anyway to get the stock bushings out without damaging the whole arm,,, or is it not even worth it?
