fontana autoclub dragway was closed down this past week too, thats two socal dragstrips in a month. if you guys didnt know irwindale was shut down too.
no matter what you drive or type of racing you do sign the petition!!!

this is a reason why cops dont think street racing will ever stop.. if there are no drag strips, then street racing will be bigger than ever..
they should encourage keeping drag strips open to stop the illegal street racing, not shut them down one by one..

 

or atleast organize drag weekends with a flagger and use a runway at an airport those events are fun

Irwindale owners filled for chapter 7.. What happened with fontana??

 

The Airstrip at Los Alamitos ARMY base would be a perfect location to host drag racing events.. Im in the National Guard and looking at all that wasted land that planes dont even come close to just makes me wonder.. what if?

I also would like to know. This affects me in a big way as I am building an 1/8th mile car I was planning on taking to Irwindale on a weekly bases. I'm so sad, depressed (because now my car doesn't make sense), hurt, angry, frustrated, and anxious about all of this. I hope things get back on track. It's a lifestyle I've grown accustomed to since I was little and it would suck to have it go away. It's such a safe family oriented environment that keeps people out of trouble and gives them a place to indulge in healthy competition.
