Default Koni/Gc help?

hello im looking to buy a koni yellow/ground control combo for my 98 coupe. ive been going through the forums and everyone has been saying that you can get them for 800$, if someone could please point me towards a trusted site that delivers to Canada and has them for sale for $800-$900 it would be much appreciated. Aswell i would like to pick the spring rates, my car is not my dd but street driven, i want something in the middle to a little more stiff, if anyone has any recommendations that would be awesome.

Ground controls site has the full set with top hats up there for $1219 but i dont need the GC tophats because im not totally dumping it. but they say this on their site:
(Please see honda-tech.com advertising for a huge discount password. Password is entered at the very end, right before you finish.)

if any knows the password that would be really helpful

Thanks alot.

THMotorsports. BUT, I don't know the canada thing is going to work.

You'll have to contact them and ask.

Shipping to Canada shouldn't be a big deal.

What are you using the car for if it's not daily driven but street driven? Autocross? HPDE?

If it's not daily driven, go with something extreme like 550F/650R.

I drove an EG Sunday with those very rates and the car was fine to me. Roads were awfully nice though.

Keep in mind 650R rates are going to promote oversteer, which unless you're a regular autocrosser that kind of car behavior can be dangerous on the street if you don't know how to control it.

Konis are valved to handle up to ~600lb rates. They can probably handle 700-900lbs, but would be severely underdamped and would warrant a rebuild.

I know several autocrossers who run koni yellows for years with ~600-700lb rates with no issues.

Ordering a set of springs from Eibach wouldn't be too expensive I wouldn't think.

I would just go 500/300 F/R and don't worry about GC brand top hats, enough searches show that the ebay brand ($75.00 for all 4 delivered to you door!) work just as well.

I can ship to Canada, via USPS. Its not cheap though :/

Its usually around $165 for shipping everything.

To answers others questions about spring rates, yes...stock konis can handle up to about 600 lb/in. Yes, you can go higher, but as others have said the konis will not be able to keep up. They are not valved for that aggressive of a spring rate. If its not a DD, do 400/500. Not super super harsh, but will get the car to rotate nicely, and wont be too hard on the konis.
