does the 87 pg7 works in a ef i saw one at a junk jard

I thought the 87 and under were DPFI instead of MPFI and thats why they didn't work, but Im not a TEG guy so Im not sure!

yeah i've always heard the 88-89 teg ecu for the ZC and that is MPFI...

No, the '87 pg7 will work for the 85-87 Si only. The 86-87 teg uses a vacuum advance dist like what is found in the 85-87 Civic and CRX Si. However, you CAN use the 88-89 teg pg7 ecu in a 88-91 Civic or CRX si because the 88-89 teg used the same electronic advance found in the 4th gens. You will have a slightly higher rev limit and a richer fuel map. It is plug and play. HTH
