Will a set of Konis/GCs/Eibach-ers for and EG install on my EF?
Hey guys, ITR Racer is selling a set of used Konis/Eibachs for an EG and I was wondering if they would fit on my 1990 Si? This was his post:
"Hey everyone. I have a set of Koni sports with Ground control coil overs and eibach ers springs for sale. The springs are 500 and 600lb/in, respectively. This whole setup is almost like new. I have had them for 1 month, but have driven on them maybe 2 times!! So, they are mint. I have all the reciepts. Fits EG civics. "
Will they install plug-n-play or would I need something special? I'm building up my Si for road-racing as some of you know, and those spring rates sounded good.
Opinions / thoughts? Thanks all!

If I remember correctly , the rear shocks on the ITR mount to the inside the lower control arm not the outside like on a 5th/6th gen Civic. In addition, the width of the mounting are is different on 5th & 6th gen. Some aftermarket companies use the same part but add spacers. I also remember something like the 89 Civic has the same (kind of) arms. You will need to check that.

*scratches head* ...maybe I'm confused here about what you're trying to say
Only if you use the EG front forks on your EF. The EF front forks are shorter by about .5" or more, so this will force you to lower the coilovers down more in the front to compensate.
But with those forks, it will work. Just make sure the shocks aren't for the R, or you'll be buying ITR LCAs for the rear of the EF.

I guess I read into his add since his screen name is ITR Racer.
In any event, the width is different on EG & EF where the rear shocks bolt to the rear lower control arm. As I mentioned above, some companies spec the same part & include a spacer for the narrower EF.
Todd's info is something I didn't know. Sounds like no problem, though.
