thinking about trading my 97 Type R for a fresh black Type R what do u guys think?
i always thought about trading my 97 Type R for 00-01 blk Type R i always like them.my first 2 integras were black 96 LS also had 97 Gsr with 5 lug

no way i would never paint this car black gotta leave the cw paint only lol it would lose so much value if i were to paint it black

If you want a black one then why not? Or sell the 97 then buy a black one. Im sure you could sell the 97 pretty fast. Do what you want to

HONESTLY it just depends on the condition of both R. If they were pretty equal, "I'll Do It". I like 97s or CW itRs but I <3 fbp/NHBP even More! GL

yea dont get me wrong i like my 97 but my favorite of them all nhb i can picture owning one day in the future have 3 Type R's

My decision would be base on the condition of both R's. I've owned a 97 R and an 01 NHBP ITR and I love the look, and power the 01 R has vs the 97 R.

Black cars are terrible. It takes forever to clean them, wax/polish them, and then the second you drive down the road, it's COVERED in dust and looks like ****!
Championship White is thee best ITR color... not to mention the fastest!
Besides, there arent enough 97Rs left. I say take that 97 to the grave with you!

I'd have a hard time selling/trading a clean 97 being as they are getting to be nearly extinct. I'd say hang on to it and try to buy a black one some time in the future.

The OP is asking for opinions. Not everyone is all crazy for a 97. Yes, they are rare. I don't dig the look though. If a black itr is what the OP wants then why not sell or trade the 97?

I speak for it's rarity but I'm not a fan of the look either compared to the 98+ models.
