Rear Toe adjustment maxed out and still .59 off?
Ok so if you have any great info on this please advise!
THe Car:
92 eg vx only suspension mods are tokico blues, tein springs, energy suspension Master bushing kit (Including trailing arm bushing), and dc2 trailing arm/disc brake upgrade.
The issue:
After installing the bushings myself over a 4 day period (No press, not recommended) I brought my car to Big O to do the 4 wheel alignment. Passenger side of the car was perfect.. Driver side rear toe adjustment is maxed out and still at .59 and was told the only way to fix this is to buy a Toe kit? also the driverside front camber is -1.5 while the passenger front is -.4. ( seems odd that the camber is that different on front) Both rear camber is -.4
Now this seems odd to me and is why im posting this.
My question is... Is the toe kit just a bandaid fix for a more serious issue? Could the machine be reading the rear wrong because the Camber in the Front is off?
Also any tips or suggestions as to the setup in regards to the Toe Curve, etc.. if i go with a Toe kit?
To me it seems it would throw everything off in the back end if i just slap a toe link on and have one side longer than the other side to accomidate for a bent part. i mean the toe would be straight, but would that throw off the cemetry of the suspension?
Thanks in advance, and yes i searched. I found topics about toe kits but not this exact issue!

The only bolts i did not touch when putting the bushings in where the toe adjustment bolts. In fact i pulled the whole trailing arm out of the car but left the adjustment arm attached to the car. When Big O torqued on them they moved just fine.. So i can comfortably say no frozen bolts.
I was thinking i could have bent something aswell and i do recall that the trail arm Bushing bolts did not line up perfectly like the passenger side did when reinstalling the trail arm. It took some muscle to get the bolts in. However I do know that the offset on that trail arm bushing bolt was correct.
Anyone know which suspension parts are notorious for bending and how to check for straightness? The only thing i could think of would be the Toe adjustment link, and lower control arm.

I would suspect the trailing arm.
But, with you're camber that far off in front aswell, something is deffinetly going on in there.
Oh, and you are nuts for doing ES bushings with no press, that had to be an absolute pain.
I did just some of mine. lol

haha! Yeah it was retarded and not advised. I broke about 9 drill bits and got sick from the fumes trying to burn them. Then used a hack saw for the front bushing collars... Then realized i had a Sawzaw and bought some 24 teeth metal blades which was nice..
For anyone else reading this.. Do yourself a favor and go to harbor frieght and buy a cheap 20 ton press at the minimum. Buy a case of beer ( if you dont drink start!) and employee and buddy or girlfriend for about 10 hours... Oh and Good Luck! haha...
However i do have to say, Its one of the best mods ive done. The car feels so sweet even with the F-ed up toe issue.
If i find out the issue about the rear toe i will post it here for anyone else who has this problem in the future. Thanks for your help bud

Ok... So i just got back from Bear Frame and Wheel. After about 10 min looking at it they told me... The trail arm its self is bent, no folds or visable issues but this happens often. They also said the car had been hit near the rear quarter panel. They also told me that it is a waste of money to buy toe kits as it only cost $100 to straighten and realign. When you do alignment this is stuff that is suppost to be included they explained, that is what your paying for. Not to just say "oh your adjustment is maxed out, here you need to pay $200+ labor for a toe kit."
So Leason learned here
DOnt waste your money and time on getting alignment at Big O or anyother tire sales place. Find a place that specializes in suspension and have experts do it right for almost the same price.
I paid $119 at Big O. $79.99 plus fees because my car is lowered... A 15 year old kid with workers permit did the alignment with mild supervision. (STUPID ME)
Bear Frame and wheel in GLendora Ca, $100 out the door... No extra parts needed!
Thanks for the sugestions guys!
