How are the ep3's????
Long story short. My sister's monte carlo is dieing, and is most likely going to take my baby (03 ex) for hers to keep. Her job is kinda far and since the trusty civic kicks *** in gas mileage, it makes sense that she gets it and we sell the crappy chevy to get me a new car.
Now I found some nice EP3's in realllllly good condition. My question is, how are they? Are they better then our em2's?
2nd question, how well do they respond to aftermarket parts. Cause I know em2's treated aftermarket I/H/E as if they are non existent.
And if not this year of SI hatch, would the previous generation of SI's be a better choice?
Advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
( yes I do want to stick to honda for my next car)

They are SO much better than em2's. I have an '04 si an my stepmother has an '02 lx; the regular civics seem to be more based off of the 90's civics interior wise (kind of basic), ep3's are more like an rsx. The aftermarker support for the ep3 is not strong but if you look hard you will find everything you need. Clubep3.com has an ep3 specific store that has everything you could possibly ever need
Just some thing to consider:
-Honda recently discontinued the optional pieces
-the jdm counterpart has a different front/r ends; most "real" lips are based on that counterpart
-02-03 are 4 lug, 04-05 are 5 lug (same as base rsx)
-the shifter is not as awkward as everyone claims
-the rareness of the chassis has made parts like ctr clusters come with a low pricetag but at the same time it pushes prices of other items up.

^I have to agree with the shifter comment. Feels very natural to shift up there.
I just got an EP3 recently. Only complaint is the K20A3(a bit underpowered, yet still peppy).... other than that, I freaking love this car. When I get a K24a2 swapped in, I'll be golden.

I had a '03 EP3 years ago, and I regret getting rid of it. I've been through many cars since then, trying to get the same enjoyment out of them, but fall short every time. Eventually when I'm done with school and making money, I will be getting another one. GL
Ah ok thanks, yea the shifter always worried me.
But yea I'm looking through craigs list and other sites, and the ep3's are pretty much the same price as my em2. So I'm probly gonna sell it to to get me an ep3. Also, I looked through the ep3 pics and man people can hook them up and make them look sexy as hell.
Another question. Is it worth putting money into performance wise. I'm reallllly looking forward to boost. Can ep3's handle it well? If not, i'll still most likely get one regardless.
thanks for all the info every1
