Default Radiator gets burning hot ??

Seems like my rad is getting way too hot too fast like can't touch it in after 5min hot and with the cap off it steams bad but temp gauge if fine. What would cause this? Info for ya, First start up on rebuilt z6..I can leave it run for 10min but get no air bubbles or lowering in coolent level plus the fan don't kick on. Was told it could take up to 20min till the thermostat opens and the fan kicks on but it gets way,way to hot for my liking lol. Brand new everything except the thermostat and car runs strong. Any advice would be nice.Thx chris

Maybe get a lower temp thermostat. Doesn't really sound like there's a problem here

You're not supposed to be able to touch it! Stop trying.

haha thought i might be over reacting because it was my first build and my boy said it didn't seem right. How long usually does it take for the thermostat to open and the fan to kick on. O and i wasn't running around touching it i had the cap off to clear out the air and it just seemed like more steam then normal. But **** it could have just been smoke from oil blowby cause the rings haven't seated yet. Plus anyone know which side is the power on the eg fan plug. One wire should be black and other blk/rd

X2 don't worry about any of that unless your car starts to overheat
