Default WTB Time-Sert #1812 M8 x 1.25

Looking to buy (or rent) Time-Sert kit model 1812. Need to repair stripped stud hole on cylinder head (exhaust side) of F22B2. I think it's M8 x 1.25

i used a helicoil kit from O'Rielys. for stripped exhaust stud holes. All you need to buy is this kit and a Tap handle from Ace hardware. It worked great for me on my turbo engine. 2 years strong.

Thanks for reply blueGTS.

I am thinking about Helicoil if I cant find a TS kit cuz they ARE cheap in price comparison. However, you can't beat a Time-Sert insert for strength.

Were you able to put the 23ft lbs on your 'helicoil-ed' stud?

I am actually using bolts & crush washer on my b16 head to hold my turbo manifold. Ive had no problems with the bolts ever coming lose @ 23 ft lbs.

The only time i'd use a time-sert insert would be for a stripped head-stud hole. Helicoil is strong enough for the exhaust/intake sides of the head.

This video helped me how to properly install the heli coil insert. (was my first time doin this took 15min)
