clunking noise when moving
right guys my re-build project is almost finished.
currently only being driven in the yard but its soon ready for its MOT test so i can use it on the road car is a 90 crx VT.
everything on this car is new.
i am running honda legend twin pot brakes and 282mm disk on the front, and rover mgzr 262mm rear bake calipers and pads (these fit exactly like the oe honda calipers but are designed for a larger disk from the rover)
running a b16a2 and a hydro box, full polybushed engine mounts. every bush on the car is a new ES item, the bushes that are not in the e.s kit have been replaced with new rubber items. all bearings are new on the hubs all round
long story shot is when i move the car around the yard i get a clunking noise continuously, its rythmic when the wheels are turning, the noise remains if i coast along with the clutch in and the engine at idea (should rule the engine and clutch out)
there was no play in the inner or outer cv joints when i rebuilt them.
the wheels are round and non dented.
all the brakes are brand new, none sticking.
if i jack each corner of the car up and turn the wheels by hand i get no knocking/catching of any sort. i have double checked all the bolts to make sure they are tight. the noise seems to be coming from the rear end (but the car is stripped out so could be from anywhere under the car)
really at a loss as to whats causing the clunking noise, its got to be transmission related i just cant seem to find out what and its doing my nut lol
