EF civic, Function Form coilover ride height FIX
If you have an EF civic, and the new style Function Form coilovers (type 1 or 2), you know that the front coilovers will not go low at all at their lowest setting, while the rears will go beyond undriveable.
To fix the ride height issue up front and get much lower, simply swap out the Function Form top hats for OEM ones. Then, reset the spring preload (turn perches until no spring slop, then add 5 more mm). Now, with the lower mounts spun all the way to their lowest ride height position, you will have almost an inch of tire tuck, instead of the 2 inches of wheel gap you'd have with the FF top hats. By adjusting the spring perch down the same amount the oem top hat pulls the shock up, NOTHING is compromised or out of spec. Rides just as good as from the factory
