Will a 01 GSR Alternator fit in a 01 ITR
Well my 01 ITR is acting up my with idle issues and poor gas milage(17mpg). I was thinking that it might be the alternator since im only getting 10-20 amps from it and if i turn on all the accessories I get 0 amps. Anyways I'm shoping around for a Alternator but all the 01 ITR alternator are running for over 220 buck, but yet the 01 GSR alternators are about 120 bucks. They both put out 90 amps but are the housing the same? I read that the 97 ITR/GSR were the same but the 01 have differnt part numbers.
depends on where your going really cause i can g to oriellys and get a starter for a 00 si civic it will be one price then look up a 00 integra and be different part number all together and different price weird cant control.i just know what things fit others helps me save money

Yes it will work. Most bseries parts are interchangable. Just keep in mind that you want something in the same obd series. Yes i know 01 gsr and 01 itr are same obd series i was just adding a friendly reminder if you start looking at other electrical components down the road.
I tried this about a month ago on my 00 ITR. It didnt work at all, everything plugs in and the bottom bolts up fine but the top bolts up at the very end of the bracket and the alternator hits the block. it's a close fit but you wont have any adjustablity to tighten the belt. Just spend the extra 100 dollars you will thank me for it later.

So I guess the 99-00 SI are all obd2b so that wont work, and I looked at rebuilding mine since it only has 18k on the moter, but just the regulator at o'reillys was 250.00. Cheaper to buy a rebuilt one.
