Icon3 1993 Accord solenoid problem??? Help!!

Help please....
I have a 93 Accord with 203K on it. I believe I have two separate problems.
First, It is hard to get out of park very sticky, the brake lights work fine and the rest of the shifting is fine and easy. I was thinking this might be the "shift lock solenoid", Should I replace this?

Second, when driving at highway speeds the RPM's seem to vary slightly, like the transmission doesn't lock up solid. It shifts just fine and has been this way for some time. Do I need to fix something here?

Thank You for any assistance you can offer.

Might be the solenoid, might just need a cable adjustment.

First problem sounds like the solonoid or shifter cable adjustment

Second problem could be cable adjustment on the shifter or the cable from the throttle linkage to the transmission. Does it seem to shift at very low RPM's? The cable from the throttle assy will vary the RPM's the engine will shift at. My 91 did the same thing when I traveled hilly roads until I adjusted it.

I would check the trans fluid. What kind of fluid do you use? The tranny will slip if you dont have enough fluid. Does the solenoid have a solid click by the shifter when you press the brake pedal? If putting the key in next to the shifter releases it easy, i'd replace the solenoid. Good luck!

Okay, thank you for your thoughts and suggestions. I'll follow your suggestions and let you know. I'm unsure of the tranny fluid as I married into ownership of this vehicle. I'll find out and advise.
Thanks all!!!

I have a similar concern regarding the lock up solenoid, what should the RPM be at when cruising 70 MPH,(110Kph).

I am new to Honda, my 93 Del Sol with D16Z6 engine seems to rev close to 3K
when in above range..it feels high...any idea anyone..

Thanks

Same question as shak911 for 93 Accord with 2.2l. I don't feel a shift after 60 mph and the RPM's stay at 3k around that speed and above, but my 91 Accord shifts down to around 2.5 above 60mph. Service manual shows the speeds for shifting but not the RPM's. Did not see a response for shak911 but since I'm newbe, I may have missed it on another page somewhere. Thanks for any help.
