Icon3 Help Clutch no pressure >>>D15y7

Today I got in the car and put it in reverse, it made like a grinding sound and would not go in reverse. when I put my foot down on the pedal clutch there was no pressure at all, I can even push with my hand and not use force and never comes back up until I pull it up. Now yesterday it would not go into second until I let off the clutch and gas and then pushed it back down, only then did it go in to second. I called advance auto zone and they said it sounded like my hydrolock cable but he hung up on me so I called auto zone and this guy then said its not necessarily the cable but the pump that pushes the fluid threw the cable or there is a leak. Can any one confirm this and does any one have like photos of what I should be looking for ?? Also if you think its a leak or a part I may need can you post links or tell me what all i might need ??

BTW I did read that the cars clutch needs to have the clutch changed every 90k miles and it almost 200k and I'm the second owner it has ever had and I know the clutch has never been changed. ( it has no problem switching gears)

This is for a 96 civic cx d15y7 nothing done to it.

Please and thanks

Dude have you even popped your hood?
Check the fluid.
Check the slave cylinder
Check the lines for leaks
Bleed air out of the lines
Google is your best friend right now go say hi

it's currently raining and I don't have a garage I can pull the car into nor a paved drive way and so everything underneath is wet. But I'm looking over some youtube videos on what the slave and master should look like. I was just trying to get an idea before hand but thanks, if you have any other suggestion please update me

Find the slave check for leaks if its leaking replace it check your fluid. It takes dot 3 brake fluid if its empty you have air in the lines.
Fill it crack the bleeder screw open on the slave and pump the pedal till it gets stiff. After you check what's wrong ill give better details on how to bleed it.

Hey just wanted to give you an update.

The master clutch was low on fluids but worked fine once I clean it out and put clean dot 3 in. Thanks for the help I'm probably going to be replacing a few things just to get it out of the way.

Cool man. Good update

If it acts up again there's mostlikely air in the line you might want to bleed it really quick.

well since ive been driving the clutcj keep becoming lose so we stuck our hand over to make sure it was sucking and it does. i can feel it. but the cap is pretty lose so we assumed the cap on the reservoir was bad and the guy at the Auto store agreed. so i was looking for the part and not to many people it. they have the brake cylinder reservoir bit not the master clutch. so i then get a call from husband telling me it just start to putter and then died. he said he thinks th timing belt broke and it been making a sqweeking soundand we have to rev
to get it to stop i have not yet changed it and it does need a oil change. here with the si so ill be able to get a better discribtion of whats going but how would i teqll if the lines need bleeding edit: sorry for the misspelled wording everything on a cell phone
